Seminar on Eco-Design of Energy Using Products
on 2006.11.09.Thursday

The Seminar was held on November 09, 2006 at M1603, Li Ka Shing Tower, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hung Hom, Kowloon.

It was jointly presented by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University's Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering and School of Design. This event is supported by the Innovation and Technology Fund of the Government of HKSAR and eight industrial sponsors as follows:

The seminar started at 09:20 am with Dr. Winco Yung, the PolyU Project Principal Investigator of this Ecodesign project, presented an introduction on Ecodesign and the ITF project. Next, Dr. SW Lui, Vice President (Partnership Development) of PolyU, giving welcoming address and presenting souvenirs to officiating guests, sponsors and speaker.

Prof. K.B. Chan, Chairman of Hong Kong Green Manufacturing Alliance and Chairman of the Hong Kong Electronic Industries Association delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of Green Manufacturing and briefing the participants the Environmental Regulations of the World.
Morning session of the technical seminar, presented by Prof. Ir. Ab Stevels, Honorary Professor, Department of Design Engineering, Delft University of Technology, consisting the following topics,

After the afternoon session completed, Dr. Winco Yung moderated the Q&A session and the speaker answered all of the questions that arose from the audience.
